Gartner recently unveiled its 2023 Magic Quadrant for RPA. Let’s take a look at the main changes from the 2022 report.
LEADERS
In 2022, UiPath was recognized as the absolute Leader, both in Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. This year, Microsoft is better in the second metric. Automation Anywhere outdid SS&C Blue Prism in Ability to Execute compared to the previous report, both companies are now very close to each other, though.
VISIONARIES
The Group has insignificant changes, the most notable of them is that Appian leads now in Completeness of Vision instead of Salesforce.
CHALLENGERS
The challenger’s section is still the least crowded, only containing Cyclone Robotics that replaced Workfusion, which dropped out of the 2023 Magic Quadrant for RPA at all.
NICHE PLAYERS
The most significant changes in this block are the following:
— Samsung SDS made a leap both in its Ability to Execute and in Completeness of Vision, whereas Nintex moved backwards in both metrics.
— Cyclone Robotics left the group to become a Challenger, as we mentioned above.
— Finally, there are two new players here: EdgeVerve Systems and Hyland.
