Most people are probably familiar with Xerox for office solutions, but not for the software and services and really automation side of things. When the company first started down this path, it was pretty experimental, but now they are at a point where Xerox can’t function without unattended bots. The original vision has been to have a bot on every desktop. They started with Softomotive, which was the genesis for Power Automate RPA. And today, Xerox has more than 450 bots deployed. These manage increasingly complex transactions across almost every business function and complete over 4 million transactions per quarter. In 2020, the company also launched its commercial Xerox RPA as a service that harnesses the expertise of its growing global community of close to 200 citizens and professional developers.
In this video, Shivani Agarwal, Director of Process Automation at Xerox, joins Jeremy Chapman, Director at Microsoft, to share how Xerox uses RPA with Microsoft’s Power Automate. Let’s see how everyday business users are driving process automation, the sheer breadth of what they’re using automation for, and how it’s enabled a new revenue stream for the company.
