IndianOil is an Indian government corporation headquartered in New Delhi. It is the largest government-owned oil corporation in the country, with a net profit of $6.1 billion for the financial year 2020-2021. Recently, it was reported the oil giant struck a five-year deal with Automation Anywhere as a part of its digital transformation program called Project i-DRIVE (Digital Readiness and IT Vision Enablement).

As part of the first phase, Indian Oil will automate key processes spanning finance, HR, and inventory using Automation 360. Through the implementation, Indian Oil looks to improve operating agility, connect disparate systems and empower employees to work efficiently by helping automate mundane and repetitive tasks. Indian Oil also conducted a botathon where employees and citizen developers created automation assistants based on different use cases.

“Energy companies grapple with legacy systems, multiple data sources, and manual, repetitive processes that get in the way of driving speed and impact.”
