IAN's Report: The Future of Unstructured Data Processing

The Intelligent Automation Network (IAN), which is an online community focused on building the intelligent enterprise, recently surveyed 300+ digital transformation leaders on how they’re using AI to transform unstructured data. Then all the findings were packaged into a comprehensive 17-page report named “The Future of Unstructured Data Processing”. Here is a digest of what the research team found out.

  • Experts predict that, on average, people will produce 463 exabytes of data per day by 2025. Up to 90% of that will be unstructured data.
  • The TOP three types of unstructured data processing (UDP) solutions and technologies currently used are Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and Automation (IDA), OCR, and Computer Vision.
  • In terms of current adoption, the 3 most popular UDP vendors are Tableau (43%), Automation Anywhere (30%),
    and UiPath (26%).
